Add ahrefs metric columns to all contacts
Joseph Robison
I don't use the Websites tab a ton, so this is more of a nice-to-have feature for me personally. But what Ahrefs does well in their interface that could apply here is an option to refresh metrics manually - they don't even offer you to do it automatically. I actually think they may have removed this, but it was a good way to control credit usage.
May work here.

Thanks for the feedback, all. The issue with adding it to the Websites tab is that we don't update the ahrefs data on a regular basis. If we did this automatically, we'd use up your ahrefs credit (possibly in a pretty big way).
My thoughts on how we should approach this...provide metrics filters in the 'Create Project' screen. This would allow you to add websites to a project regardless of their DR and BuzzStream would only add the ones that met the filter requirements.
Thoughts?

Paul May: I don't think that approach would add any extra functionality. Right now you can still apply some filtering to the websites tab and import those to a project, then load the Ahrefs metrics within that project, then filter again and delete anything not meeting the criteria.
For our specific use, we don't necessarily want to add prospects to a new project... Moreso, we want to be able to filter through all prospects in one place.
The Ahrefs data only updates when you click "refresh metrics", right? So the most recent Ahrefs data could sit in there without any cost. Then if someone wants more recent data they can run the refresh, and get the usual warning about the expected credit use. And users could also firstly filter the list first, then select only the filtered list to update the metrics.
A "last updated" metric (separate from the current "last modified" one) might also be useful.

Thinking a bit more - You could also just not even allow Ahrefs refreshes from the Websites tab, if you wanted to totally avoid the risk of someone blasting their credit use.
Even just listing any Ahrefs data currently listed in the various projects would be extremely useful.

This would be hugely helpful. Sometimes we want to look back at our whole database of contacts and filter them by DR/traffic, and right now there's no easy way to do that.
I think this is a pretty massive feature. More and more link building is a data game, and to not be able to apply these important SEO metrics to the entire database is very limiting.
Thanks!
